Introducing the TILTA Camera Cage for BMCC 6K Basic Kit in sleek black, designed to elevate your filmmaking experience with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K. This comprehensive kit provides the ultimate protection and functionality for your camera, allowing you to enhance your creative vision.
Crafted with precision, the Camera Cage offers a sturdy foundation that safeguards your camera body while enabling you to attach various accessories to enhance its capabilities. The top plate seamlessly aligns with the 1/4”-20 thread on the Full Frame camera body, ensuring a secure fit that was previously unavailable with the older version of the cage.
With two screws connecting the cage to the bottom of the camera, you can enjoy an incredibly secure three-point contact that enhances stability and durability. The Full Cage features multiple 1/4”-20 threads with locating points, cold shoe receivers, an Arri compatible rosette, and a NATO Rail for NATO based Side Handles and accessories, providing versatility and convenience in your setup.
The right side arm module can be easily removed to transform the Full Cage into a Half Cage, offering flexibility for lighter builds, such as when using a gimbal. The Bottom Plate boasts several 1/4”-20 mounting points for quick release plates and is compatible with the ARCA Receiver of the DJI RS3 Pro, ensuring seamless integration with other equipment.
When using the Half Cage, the extended bottom plate supports the Black Magic Design Battery Grip and includes a 15mm Rod Holder for rod-based accessories in the correct LWS alignment with the Battery Grip. The Xeno Top Handle included in the Basic Kit mounts securely to the cage via a 1/4”-20 screw with locating pins, featuring a silicone padded grip for comfortable handling and multiple mounting points for additional accessories.
The kit also includes a 90 Degree HDMI Adapter for a secure connection near the HDMI port, reducing wear and tear on the port. An SSD Drive Holder mounts effortlessly via a 1/4”-20 screw with a locating pin, allowing you to clamp down on a Samsung T5 SSD drive for external recording, enhancing your workflow and storage options.
Please note that the BMD EVF may not fully clear the Top Plate of the cage, so caution is advised to prevent damage to the EVF.
